Golden Boy (1995-1996) - 6 Episodes

Each volume and episode of Golden Boy places Kintaro opposite a young, beautiful woman, whose interest or disdain for him acts as the conflict of the plot. Some of these women initially dismiss Kintaro as an idiotic and clumsy pervert, and either give him or accept from him some challenge to prove their superiority. Kintaro invariably lusts after these women, but he is principally driven by his desire to be of actual service to them and to thereby learn more about the world. Despite his outward appearances, Kintaro is an incredibly clever and resourceful individual, and consistently exceeds what the women in his encounters thought impossible, winning their hearts despite his outward awkwardness. But due to chance, necessity or a sense of honor, Kintaro never takes advantage of these newfound feelings.

Kintaro is a freeter, and has done various jobs as he quests around Japan in pursuit of knowledge. His ventures include computer programming, housekeeping, teaching, the culinary arts, and most of all, studying. The series began with minimal story, and each chapter featured a different girl and a different challenge for Kintaro to overcome. Later on, the story follows arcs, such as Kintaro being forced to impersonate a schoolgirl after catching her shoplifting. Another shows Kintaro involved in a bizarre plot involving one of his old schoolmates, and bizarre women who seem to worship him. Kintaro is also often seen demonstrating the skills he's learned in previous chapters to overcome challenges faced in the current one.

Much of the humor derives from situational elements, such as encounters between Kintaro and the women gone awry, and interactions between Kintaro's libido and imagination. Recurring gags include Kintaro's fetish for toilets (especially those recently used by beautiful women), his exaggerated facial expressions, and comical entries in his notebook. The later include explicit drawings of the women he encounters and bits of wisdom such as "'C' is not sex", and "The human head cannot turn 360 degrees." Regarding the series, Tatsuya Egawa writes: "Before leaving kindergarten, I wrote these words in my notebook: 'I really like to study.' Often I wonder when it was that our schools forgot the true meaning of 'study.' Something which is now so often misunderstood by teachers and parents. Learning ought to be both stimulating and entertaining."

Hana Yori Dango aka Boys Over Flowers (1996-1997) - 51 Episodes

Makino Tsukushi, a working-class girl, attends an elite escalator school called Eitoku Academy (英徳学園, Eitoku Gakuen?), populated by children from rich, high-society families. She is the "weed" of the school, surrounded by all the rich kids, including the "Flower" Four (F4). The F4 leader and son of the wealthiest, most powerful family in Japan, Domyouji Tsukasa, takes an interest in Tsukushi, because she is the only girl at Eitoku who doesn't fawn over him. However, his hot-headed nature and bullying ways are originally a major turn-off for Tsukushi, who has her sights set on someone else.

The violinist Rui Hanazawa, Tsukasa's best friend, becomes Tsukushi's first serious romantic interest. He is a quiet and cold guy, but he has a soft spot for his close friend and Tsukushi's idol, the model Todo Shizuka, whom he harbored feelings for since childhood. His character is a bit complex, and always has changing feelings for Tsukushi, but above all cares about her in a friendly way.

The other two members of the F4 are Mimasaka Akira, the laid-back peacemaker of the group, and Nishikado Sōjirō, an unrepentant playboy. They both usually have at least one girlfriend at any one time; Akira prefers older women because the women of his household (his mother and two younger sisters) are quite silly. Sojiro is happy to be in casual relationships with many women, although we later discover that at one time he was in love with a childhood friend.

Over the course of the series, however, Tsukushi's feelings evolve, and she begins to appreciate the degree of change that occurred in Tsukasa once he fell in love with her. He becomes fiercely loyal to Tsukushi and believes in her beyond all doubt, and slowly gets her to see him in a different light. The physical obstacles and emotional challenges of their rocky high-school courtship form the basis of the story. Other themes include Tsukushi's attempt to fit in at the school, the problems of her family's lifestyle and income, and the decadent lifestyle of upper-class Japanese girls.

Sailormoon SuperS:The Movie - Black Hole Dream (1995) - 1 Movie

In the early hours of the morning, a flute is heard playing. Kids from all over the city seem to get up and follow the musician to a ship, singing about candy, chocolate, a magical world, and three o'clock fairies. The musician takes them all away into the sky and then disappears, all the while being watched by a small boy, who also has a flute. Meanwhile, Usagi and the others are making cookies at Mako-chan's house. Usagi's are very pretty cookies while Chibi-Usa's are ugly. Chibi-Usa boasts that while hers are ugly, when eaten they'll give you 100x power and 100x courage. Unfortunately for Usagi, her cookies are very bad tasting while Chibi-Usa's are good. When the cuckoo clock goes off, Mako-chan, realizes it's 3PM and talks about the 3 o'clock fairy. Chibi-Usa runs off to give her cookies to Mamoru. On the way to Mamoru's apartment, she notices a boy that looks like a fairy. She investigates but doesn't see anything too odd. They talk for a while and the boy plays his flute to make the cookies in a candy store dance. Chibi-Usa is amazed and introduces herself. The boy introduces himself as Peruru. Chibi-Usa gives him her cookies that she had made and leaves. Meanwhile, at Mamoru's apartment, Usagi is upset because she thinks that Mamoru loves Chibi-Usa more than her. Mamoru proves his love by eating Usagi's disgusting cookies. They then hear a report on the radio about kids in over 40 countries getting abducted in their sleep. That night, the same musician comes and Chibi-Usa is one of the victims. Diana wakes Usagi and they follow after her. They follow Chibi-Usa all the way to a ship where Usagi spanks Chibi-Usa to snap her out of it. The music then stops and the man with the flute speaks. He sends candy monsters after the 6 girls. Once they realize that they can't beat the monsters themselves, they transform and fight. Tuxedo Mask comes to help, but he is seriously hurt in the fight. Peruru also appears and reveals that he is a fairy, just like the other man. In the commotion, Chibi-Moon is captured and taken away and the senshi confront Peruru to ask how they can save Chibi-Moon. Peruru explains that Badiyanu is behind all of this. She ordered him and three other fairies to collect children and bring them to her. Peruru and the senshi take Peruru's ship and follow the other fairy, Pupuran. When they get to Badiyanu's castle, they are attacked and crash. Pupuran and two other fairies then confront them. The battle seems to be going in the fairies' favor when suddenly the outer senshi appear. They find the fairies' weaknesses and defeat them. They then all go to the heart of the castle where Badiyanu is. Once there, they find Badiyanu and Chibi-Moon. Badiyanu explains she wants the sugar energy of all the children's dreams so that she can revive the black dream hole to swallow the earth. Sailor Moon and Peruru then try to infiltrate Badiyanu's shield to save Chibi-Moon. The others try to help but are quickly subdued. Sailor Moon and Peruru make it through but Badiyanu goes into the black dream hole. After eating one of the cookies that Chibi-Usa made (which Peruru still had) that gives 100x power and courage, Sailor Moon follows after her. Sailor Moon finds Chibi-Moon but is sent into a dream world. She breaks free however and uses the power of the ginzuishou to revive Chibi-Moon. They then use a double Moon Gorgeous Meditation to destroy Badiyanu and destroy the black dream hole. When they return to earth. Peruru gives Chibi-Moon his flute so that she would remember him. Chibi-Moon gives Peruru a kiss in return. Peruru then flies off while the other senshi look on.

Sailormoon SuperS (1995-1996) - 39 Episodes

Chibi-usa has a strange yet pleasent dream one night. She hears her name being called. She gets up, and walks towards the voice. She ends up in a forest with a lake in the middle, and a horse appears, and then her princess dress appears on her. She pets the horse, whose name is Pegasus. After a short time, he says he must go and that Chibi-usa tells no one of their meeting. Usagi is then waking Chibi-usa up and to get ready to go. She wonders if that was really a dream that she had. The two meet up with everyone else, where thay talk about the solar eclipse which is about to occur. A few minutes later, the sun and moon lined up and it became pitch black. During this short period of time, a giant circus tent appeared in the middle of the city. When the light came back, no one saw the new tent and just went back to their everyday lives.

Inside the tent, many monsters, called lemures, were fooling around, speaking of how no one even noticed the tent. Zircona, who appeared to be the leader, told everyone to stop fooling around and summoned the Amazon Trio. The trio appeared to be three humans with powers as the lemures had. Their names are Tiger's Eye, Hawk's Eye, and Fish Eye. Their mission was to find Pegasus by going through the dream mirrors of those with beautiful dreams.

Tiger's Eye sets out first. He finds his target and takes the dream mirror out of them. Just as he is about to look into the mirror, Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon come to fight him. Tiger's Eye calls a lemures to deal with them, as he looks in the mirror, only to not find Pegasus. He then leaves and instructs the lemures to finish off the senshi as well as the mirror keeper. They fight the lemures, only to find that their attacks were useless. But all of a sudden, Pegasus appears and powers up the two senshi to Super form, and their weapons upgraded as well. With this power, Super Sailor Moon and Super Sailor Chibi Moon were able to defeat the lemures. Soon after, their weapons returned to normal and they were back to their normal senshi form as well. Pegasus then flies away, saying to call him if they ever need help. Later that day, Pegasus appears to Chibi-usa and gives her the Stallion Stable so they could always talk to each other whenever they wanted.

This happening took place once more, where Pegasus appeared to help the senshi. However the next time, he permanently upgraded their brooches and weapons. They could now stay being Super without help and they could use their weapons to call upon Pegasus and use his power to fight the enemies.

The battles between the senshi and and Amazon Trio occured often, and the senshi were always victorious, and the trio never able to capture Pegasus through people's dreams and traps set up for when he would come to help the senshi. One time, however, Fish Eye made a smart move. When he called upon his lemures, just as Chibi Moon called Pegasus, Fish Eye made a force field around them, causing Pegasus to be trapped out. The inner senshi came in time to see this, but were powerless to do anything about it. Pegasus offered them some of his power so they could be powered up to the Super level, as Moon and Chibi Moon were. They were skeptical in trusting him though, due to the fake Pegasus that the Trio sent out earilier to wreck havoc on the town. Pegasus tried to ram through the force field to help Moon and Chibi Moon. Chibi Moon was begging the inners to accept his offer. After seeing Chibi Moon beg and Pegasus not able to do anything, they accepted Pegasus' offer and he powered them up to Super. Being powered up, the inners were able to destroy the field, allowing Pegasus to aid Moon and Chibi Moon to defeat the lemures.

After many failures by the Amazon Trio, Queen Nehelenia, the queen of darkness and the new moon, appeared holographically in front of the trio and Zirconia. She told the trio that if they didn't succeed by the time the next moon rose, that the spell put on them would wear off. She then left. The trio was confused and asked Zirconia about it. She told them that they would turn to their orginal forms if they failed again. She metioned them to turn around and look in the mirror to see, and they were shocked by what their true forms were. They left, hoping to succeed and be able to stay in their human forms. It is about then when Fish Eye realizes that none of the trio have dreams by trying to take out Tiger's Eye dream mirror, which never appeared. He then set off for the next target, feeling a bit sad knowing he had no dreams. When the trio went to prepare for their next target, Zirconia is talking to four shadowy figures, tossing around some sort of ball. The ask if they can break it, but Zirconia tells them to wait, that it's not time to yet.

Fish Eye set out for the next target, Mamoru. He tries to attract him in a disguise of a girl, but fails. He askes him why he picks Usagi over any other girl, and he states that it's because she has beautiful dreams. Fish Eye then turns to his normal self and takes out his mirror, but like the others, Pegasus wasn't in it, and the senshi defeated his lemures. After some time goes by, Fish Eye, back to his girl disguise, is found sitting on a bench in the rain. Usagi, thinking it's that girl from earilier, sees him and brings him to her house to give him some food and to stay dry. When he walks around the house after Usagi leaves her room for a bit, by accident he sees Chibi-usa talking to Pegasus! He knew then that Chibi-usa was the host, and came to the realization that they were Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi Moon. He did nothing then, but decided to wait until a bit later.

Later, the other two of the trio, who were given the ball from earilier from Zirconia, who told them of the great power in the ball and that their mission depended on it, went to look through Usagi's mirror. Fish Eye tried to explain to them that she wasn't the host and to not try and who she really was, but they still did. Suddenly, a lemures appeared, looked through the mirror, and saw no Pegasus. The trio asked who this was, and he said he was sent by Zirconia to dispose of unecessary things, and broke Usagi's mirror, and she fell over, dead. He then began to attack the trio. They then state that they wanted to find Peagasus to be able to stay human. They use the ball to put Usagi's dream mirror back together, bringing her back to life. The tell her to transform to Sailor Moon. The ball breaks and they fall to the ground. The inners then show up and the lemures is defeated. Sailor Moon then asks Fish Eye why he helped them, and he said that he envys that she has beautiful dreams. She realizes that Fish Eye is that girl from earilier, and then the trio is turned back to their orginal forms, a tiger, a hawk, and a fish. Pegasus turnes them back to humans and gives them dream mirrors, making them fully human. He then brings them to his world to stay until it's safe again.

It's now time for the next ones on line, the Amazoness Quartet, who were those shadowy figures from before, to take over the mission. Their names were Cere-Cere, Jun-Jun, Ves-Ves, and Palla-Palla. They learn from Zirconia that Pegasus' influence on a dream is so great, that the host's dream mirror would be golden in color, so they wouldn't have to look through all the mirrors, and could check so many at a time. However, they weren't as apt to go do their jobs like the trio was, and when they were in a mood to, they would argue of who would take on the next task. Like the trio, the quartet had hard times with the senshi. Making things worse for them, the inners had mastered new, stronger attacks.

After many failed attempts by the quartet, who had been defeated by the senshi as the trio always was, Palla-Palla takes advantage of Moon and Chibi Moon arguing about how each would like to be the other's age, and did excatly that, changed their ages. The new, teenage, Chibi Moon called Pegasus like normal, but he wouldn't appear. The inners then show up, and Palla-Palla retreats. Usagi and Chibi-usa, in their new ages, stay at Mamoru's apartment for the night to think things through, and Chibi-usa began to like her new body. As they slept, Chibi-usa hears her name being called, and she follows the voice into the forest, and finds Pegasus. He says he couldn't find her, that the light of her dream faded away. He tells her of the Golden Crystal, and of the New Moon looking for it. He explains that he was captured by Nehelenia. While tied up, he saw a light of a beautiful dream, had his spirit turn into Pegasus, and flew towards that light, where he met Chibi-usa for the first time. However, since the spell from Palla-Palla had Chibi-usa fufill her dream, he could no longer find the light of her dream. He begs her to get her dream back. She runs to him, and turns back to a child as she does. She closes her eyes, and for a short moment, pegasus turns to his human form, Elios, and kisses her. She sees this form, then wakes up to Usagi back to her normal self, still in Chibi-usa's clothing, causing her to toss and turn.

A few days later, Nehelenia grows impatient of being unable to come to the normal world, and casts a spell on it so it's covered by darkness with cobwebs and making it easier to find Pegasus. The senshi discover that the circus tent is the source of all the power. They get ready to go inside, but Mamoru starts to suffer from pain. Pegasus tells the senshi that it's not time to attack yet. They bring Mamoru to his apartment to have him get some rest. As they leave to plan, Elios appears to prince Endymion in a dream, and explains that he is ill because his planet is choking from the darkness and he is feeling the effects. He also explains the importance of the Golden Crystal and tells him where it is, on his head.

Usagi goes to check on Mamoru before they all go to the tent, and he explains everything to her. She promises that she will save his planet, and leaves. The senshi go to the tent, and are given a pathway in. They go in, and battle the Amazoness Quartet, who retreat after a short while. Zirconia then introduces herself to the senshi, and reveals that Chibi Moon is the holder of the golden mirror. Chibi Moon is then captured. Nehelenia then speaks with Chibi Moon, but whats going on as her back is turned? The quartet changes Chibi Moon with a life-size Chibi Moon doll, so they can have and play with pegasus by themselves. As they try to play with him, a fire suddenly appears around him. Chibi Moon wakes up and runs through the fire to save him, and the fire goes away. However, Nehelenia notices what happened and takes back Chibi Moon and pegasus tries to escape, but fails. He is forced back to his human body that is still tied up, and Nehelenia takes the Golden Crystal, and also traps the quartet in mirrors so they can no longer interfere.

Nehelenia appears before the senshi with the Golden Crystal. However, the quartet were able to escape their prisons. They hid in the background, thinking of what they could do. They discovered that they had some magic left, and using it, they were able to swtich the Golden Crystal with a pineapple without Nehelenia noticing. Once Nehelenia finishes talking, she tries to finish the senshi off, only to find that she has a pineapple instead of the Golden Crystal. The quartet gives the Golden Crystal to the senshi, and then Nehelenia tries to take the quartet's power to use it for herself. They decide after a while to destroy the balls that were given to them which gave them their magic, so that the senshi could have a chance of winning, and they run away. Now with the Golden Crystal, Sailor Moon tries to use its power to destroy Nehelenia, but is unable to awake its power. Chibi Moon goes to the crystal, and begs to everyone on the world for their power, by saying "Moon Crisis Power." Soon, everyone in the world begins chanting, and the power of the Golden Crystal begins to destroy Nehelenia.

After the blast, Nehelenia realizes she has failed and that it's time for her to be trapped in a curse where she can keep her beauty but remain isolated from everyone. She picks up Chibi Moon, and walks off to a huge chunk of land, which begins to rise. Sailor moon gives chase and is able to climb onto the giant rock heading for the sky. She finds Nehelenia with Chibi Moon on the top. Nehelenia explains to Sailor Moon what is to happen, and tells her since her dream is over, she will make Sailor Moon's a nightmare, and throws Sailor Chibi Moon off. Sailor Moon tells Nehelenia that she feels sorry for her, and jumps off to try to save Chibi Moon. As she falls, she catches up to her, and transforms into her princess form. She catches up with her and holds on to her, trying to wake her up so they can be saved. After a long while, she wakes up, and Pegasus catches them both and flies them to safety.

Now that all is well, everyone says their thanks and goodbyes to Elios. Chibi-usa is sad that he must go, and doesn't want him to. However, he kisses her goodbye, and tells her that they will meet again someday.

It's time for the Soldiers to study ever harder now, since these exams determine what High School you go to and that there's nothing to distract them.

Or is there? Rei seems to be having one bad dream. This dream shows the oncoming silence to our world and the horror and total destruction it brings. A great beam of light splits to three, then all three fade away in the distance, despite Rei calling out to them.
This is when Rei wakes up to Usagi's snoring, and the vision ends. This leaves Rei worried though. What could this mean? Rei tries to figure out this vision, but feels nothing. As she leaves the temple, she is attacked by some sort of monster! The other Soldiers find and save her. This monster manages to tie them to trees before they can even transform, as well as break the transformation brooch of Sailor Moon! This monster than attacks Rei with a black beam, and a crystal appears, the crystal of her pure heart.

Just as there seems to be no hope, two bursts of energy come flying toward the monster and defeats it in an instant. The soldiers check on Rei now that they are free to see if she's alright, while the two mysterious soldiers check out the pure heart, find it as of no use to them, toss it back, and leave.

Usagi is worried about not being able to be a soldier anymore, with the light of the Silver Crystal fading away, causing her to not be able to transform into Sailor Moon. She tries to transform when another monster appears, but fails and really wishes to be able to help. She stays by Mamoru's side during the battle, refusing to leave and save herself. Then a beam of light appears, bringing the two to the Moon Kingdom, where they receive the legendary Spiral Heart Moon Rod and a new brooch with an enhanced Silver Crystal. With these new tools, Sailor Moon could transform and defeats the monster.

These monsters are known as Daimons, which are made with the Eggs of Daimon that Professor Tomoe creates. Tomoe is trying to bring the Silence to the earth and obtain the Sacred Cup to have supreme power. This cup can be obtained by collecting the three Talismans, where it will appear when the Talismans are brought to the same place and holds great power, the most in the universe it's said.

Later, we find out that these two mysterious soldiers, are Sailor Soldiers as well. Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus are very different from their inner counterparts. Unlike the inners, the outers' mission is to find the Talismans and obtain the Sacred Cup to find the Messiah, and save the world from the silence. The outers refuse to work with the inners because they feel they are weak, are a burden, and can't handle the fact that people must be sacrificed for the good of the universe.

And who is this pink haired soldier that appears? Chibiusa comes back from the future as Sailor Chibi Moon, a soldier in training this time around. What was Neo-Queen Serenity thinking of sending the kawaii spore back to our time? Just because she can't handle her herself.....
Not too long after this, Sailor Pluto makes a suprising visit to earth. It is then revealed that she and the other two outers are the holders of the Talismans. The Sacred Cup finally appears before their eyes and Sailor Moon is the one who gets it, along with a new transformation and attack. The outers are brought to life and Sailor Uranus lets Sailor Moon hold on to the Sacred Cup, for now.

Just as Chibiusa seems to be very alone and unable to meet anyone her age to make friends, she accidentally stumbles upon Tomoe Hotaru, a very pretty girl her age who appears to become weak now and then, but becomes Chibiusa's best friend because neither of the two have friends and have so much fun together.

Something seems strange at her house though. Her caretaker seems to dislike Hotaru to be having lots of fun and away from her training of some sort, but her father thinks it's good for Hotaru to get out with her friend now and then. The caretaker seems to always watch over her, and her father is always busy with his experiments to spend time with her.

Tomoe Hotaru, could her father be Professor Tomoe? Sure enough, it is. And this training he puts his daughter through, is her powers. Her good powers are of the strongest outer senshi, Sailor Saturn. But her dark side of her powers turn her into Mistress 9, the Messiah of Silence. Professor Tomoe want to use her daughter's powers as Mistress 9 to aid him in getting supreme power.

After lots of research and investigating, the inners figure out that Professor Tomoe is the one behind all the trouble and his past. They find out that he was a great scientist and a very nice man. He even provided the money for a high school to be built. It seems strange that this is the same man who is trying to destroy the earth. They also found out that his secret lab is in that high school, and prepare for battle.

A force field was made around the school though, keeping everyone out. After sacrificing herself, Sailor Pluto was able to teleport the outers in. The inners are still trapped outside though. Mistress 9 suddenly appears and chokes Sailor Moon while teleporting inside. The inners notice the force field growing, so they formed a square around it, using their powers to hold it back. Meanwhile, inside Sailor Moon is talking to Mistress 9, trying to get her back to being Hotaru. Mistress 9 talks to Sailor Moon, trying to get the Sacred Cup, which Sailor Moon gives to her for her to heal back. Instead, she runs, going to call the ultimate evil, Pharaoh 90. Once he is called, Mistress 9 goes back to being Hotaru, who then transforms to Sailor Saturn. She tells Sailor Moon to stay back while she finishes off Pharaoh 90. Sailor Moon, knowing Sailor Saturn will die, goes after her.

A short time passes, and a beat up Sailor Moon holding a baby appears. This baby is the reborn Hotaru, who Haruka and Michiru take care of until her father is out of the hospital. Once everything seems to be normal, the remaining two outers challenge Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon wins easily, proving to the outers that she is the Messiah. Sailor Neptune and Uranus then bow to Sailor Moon and leave.

Now with all the trouble gone, it's time for Chibiusa to return to the future. Everyone gives gifts to her to bring to the future, and then she leaves. Soon after, a monster appears, and then suprisingly, Sailor Chibi Moon appears and helps fight it. She brings a note saying she can stay in the present and thanks everyone for the gifts.

Sailormoon R: The Movie - The Promise of a Rose (1993) - 1 Movie

The movie opens with a young Mamoru on the roof of a hospital and he hands another small boy a rose. The little boy thanks him and says "No one has ever given me a gift before" and dissolves into thin air as he vows to bring Mamoru a flower. The movie flashes to the present day. Mamoru, Usagi, and the rest of the four "Inner" Senshi are at a botanical garden. Usagi tries to steal a kiss from Mamoru, but when he notices that they're not alone anymore he walks off outside alone.
Suddenly the fountain a few feet from him mysteriously goes silent and a pink rose petal floats past him. The sky goes dark and thousands of flower petals fall out of the sky as the girls come outside, Usagi and Chibiusa laughing and giggling. A young man, about Mamoru's age appears and the flower petals stop. Usagi runs up to Mamoru asking him if he saw the flower petals and is interrupted by the young man, who takes Mamoru's hand. Mamoru has no idea who the man is and Usagi is terrified of what's occurring. She tries to remove the man's hand from Mamoru, but the man gets angry and pushes Usagi down. He vows that no one will prevent him from keeping his promise and shoots flower petals at the group and then vanishes in a flurry of them. While the girls question the identity of the young man, Mamoru mutters "Fiore...it can't be."

Later, back at Rei's temple, the group (without Mamoru) discuss an asteroid that is coming to Earth and that Luna and Artemis had discovered traces of vegetal life on it. The talk degenerates into gossip about Mamoru's and Fiore's possible relationship, while Usagi thinks about how Mamoru had told her he had no family and was alone, and she had promised him she would be his family from now on.

Fiore sends a flower monster, Glycina, to Tokyo where it begins draining the life energy from the populace. The Guardian Senshi free the people, but are injured. It is revealed that Fiore is working with a Xenian flower. Fiore resumed his attack and was about to kill Sailor Moon by impaling her on his claw-like fingernails but Tuxedo Mask jumped in front of her and took the hit himself. Mortified, Fiore took Mamoru's limp body back aboard an asteroid that was rapidly approaching Earth and began to revive him in a crystal filled with liquid.

Mamoru remembers a young Fiore, who had made friends with him just after his parents died. Mamoru had assumed that the boy was an imaginary friend. Fiore had had to leave Mamoru as the Earth's atmosphere was unsuitable for him, but before they parted, Mamoru gave Fiore a rose. After that, Fiore wandered the galaxy, searching for a worthy flower of Mamoru, and found the Xenian blossom, who takes over his mind. He then returns to Earth, seeking revenge on the humans who'd made Mamoru lonely.

Meanwhile the Senshi had found out that the energy from the asteroid matched the evil energy of the flower monster, and concluded Fiore must be hiding there and keeping Mamoru prisoner too. After being told by Luna and Artemis about an old legend regarding the Xenian flower and how it destroyed planets by using weak-hearted people, the Senshi teleport to the asteroid to battle Fiore and rescue Mamoru.

The asteroid is covered with hundreds of flowers. Fiore confronts the Senshi and tells them of his plan to scatter flower seeds all over the planet, draining humanity's energy. The Senshi then fight hundreds of flower monsters. The monsters then combine into one and ensnare the Guardian Senshi; Mars tosses Moon aside before it can get her too. Fiore orders Moon to drop her weapon, the Cutie Moon Rod, and surrender, or her friends will suffer. They urge her to fight, but she drops the weapon and begins to cry. Xenian's control over Fiore is laxed by the display of emotion and the flower monsters disappear.

The Xenian then possesses Fiore body. Mamoru breaks free as Fiore begins to attack Moon. Fiore accuses Usagi of not being able to understand his loneliness, causing the Guardian Senshi to remember their own loneliness. The Guardian Senshi tell Fiore that without Usagi, they all would have been alone, and beg him not to kill her. Fiore goes to stab Usagi, and Mamoru throws a rose and collapses. Usagi is safe. The rose embedded in Fiore's chest blooms and causes the Xenian's possession of Fiore to break.

Fiore feels betrayed by Mamoru and all the flowers on the asteroid vanish. However, the asteroid is still hurtling towards Earth. Usagi wakes up and uses the Ginzuishou, despite her friends' warning, to try to change the course of the asteroid. However, Fiore suddenly grabs Usagi's brooch in an attempt to stop her. Usagi grabs Fiore, who is suddenly shown a vision. Fiore realizes that Usagi had given Mamoru the rose that Mamoru eventually gave to Fiore. Fiore becomes overflown with emotion, and the Xenian is destroyed. Fiore vanishes, and Mamoru and the Guardian Senshi lend Princess Serenity their powers to sustain the Ginzuishou as the asteroid descends towards Earth. The Ginzuishou breaks, the asteroid breaks up, and Usagi dies. The girls and Mamoru cry over Usagi, but Fiore reappears and thanks Mamoru. He gives Mamoru a nectar-filled flower with Fiore's life energy. Mamoru wets his lips with the nectar and kisses Usagi, reviving her.

Sailormoon: The Dark Kingdom (1992-1993) - 46 Episodes

Tsukino Usagi is a 14 year old girl in 8th grade. Just about every day, she gets up way past her alarm clock, and rushes out of the door to try to get to school on time, usually not eating breakfast beforehand. On the way to school one day, she sees three boys teasing a black cat. Usagi scares the boys away from the cat, and notices they put bandages on its forehead, and takes them off, revealing a cresent moon "bald" spot. She then realizes how late she is and runs to school.

Later that day, Usagi is walking home with Naru, talking about the test they got back, which Usagi did very poorly on and threw it, hitting Mamoru, who teases her about dojng so badly. Naru decides to try to cheer Usagi up by bringing her to her mother's jewerley store, which was having a big sale. There were a lot of people there though, so she continued home. When she got home, her mother asked her about her test, saw the paper, and locked her out of the house, letting her in after a while.

When Usagi finally got in the house and in her room, she was very suprised to see that cat from earilier in the day come in the window of her room. She indrouces herself as Luna, and tells Usagi that she is Sailor Moon, the champion of love and justice. Usagi doesn't understand and can't understand how a cat can talk. Luna then gives her a brooch, telling her to use it to transform into Sailor Moon and tells her about the Dark Kingdom. Usagi, however, is impressed with the brooch and hardly hears a word she says. Luna tells her to say "Moon Prisim Power, Make Up!", and not understanding, she does, then seconds later finds herself as Sailor Moon. She is suprised and doesn't know what to do or anything, and then suddenly hears Naru screaming in her mind with her new powers. She quickly runs to the store, and gets there to see a monster, which quickly sees and attacks her. She starts crying and all of a sudden, a rose appears and stuns the monster. She then sees a masked man, who introduces himself as Tuxedo Kamen, who tells Sailor Moon not to cry and defeat the monster. Luna instructs her to use the "Moon Tiara Action" attack, which she does and kills the monster.

These monsters are known as yomuas, which are sent out by the Dark Kingdom to collect energy to revive Queen Metallia, which is pure evil incarnate. The Dark Kingdom is ruled by Queen Beryl, and the lords who do most of the battling, Jadeite, Nephrite, Zoicite, and Kunzite. Jadeite was the first lord to take on the task of getting energy for the kingdom. As time goes by though, Sailor Moon meets up with two more senshi, Sailor Mercury and Sailor Mars, whos real identites are Mizuno Ami and Hino Rei. The three senshi make things hard for Jadeite, who is eventually killed by Queen Beryl for failing too much.

Jadeite's job is then taken over by Nephrite. Soon after Nephrite takes over, Beryl remembers the Ginzuishou, a mystical silver crystal. She adds the taks of finding it to Nephrite, knowing that the Dark Kingdom could be invincible with it. While attempting to accomplish, Naru falls in love with Nephrite. Nephrite tries to use her to his advantage hoping she could lead him to the Ginzuishou, but isn't able to. Zoicite then comes along and mocks Nephrite for not being able to accomplish any of his tasks. Eventually, the senshi caught on to this and went after Nephrite. When they got to him and tried to attack him, naru jumped in front of their attacks, causing the senshi to stop their attacks midway to not hit her. She then tells Nephrite to get away and tells the senshi that she loves him and won't let anything happen to him. Nephrite finally feels what love feels like and falls in love with Naru, and turns good. However, Zoicite sent out a youma to get the tratior, which servely injures him. Naru tries to heal the wound, but it's too late to save him. He tells her he loves her and to never forget him, and then fades away.

As Zoicite takes over, Beryl remembers of the seven orginal Dark Kingdom youma, and that they were sealed in seven Rainbow Crystals, therefore giving Zoicite the task of finding the seven Rainbow Crystals, with Kunzite advising him. The senshi learn of this, and enter the "Rainbow Crystal race". About when this "race" starts, the three senshi are soon joined by another senshi, Sailor Jupiter, Kino Makoto. After a while, all the Rainbow Crystals are found and the people who they resided in healed, but they're split between the groups. The senshi, who are trying to get the Ginzuishou and find the Moon Princess with it, Tuxedo Kamen, who is trying to find his princess, and the Dark Kingdom so they can be invincible with the Ginzuishou. At the end of this "race", the final senshi, Sailor Venus, Aino Minako, appears with her cat from the Moon Kingdom like Luna, Artemis.

With all the Rainbow Crystals found, the Dark Kingdom set up a base in a building nearby. Zoicite lures Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Kamen there, but they were as Usagi and Chiba Mamoru, and didn't know each other's identites. When trapped and seems to be no way out, Usagi decides to transform to Sailor Moon to save them. Mamoru is shocked by this, and soon reveals himself as Tuxedo Kamen. Sailor Moon is shocked by this as well, because she and mamoru never got a long real well and now he was someone that she really liked. She decided she could get used to the fact that hes who he is and still like him as much. Zoicite then uses a deadly ice attack to Tuxedo Kamen, which greatly hurts him and almost kills him. Sailor Moon goes to his side crying. As she cries, the seven Rainbow Crystals began to form the Ginzuishou, which places itself on Sailor Moon's wand, and reveals her to be the Moon Princess, Princess Serentity and Mamoru as Prince Endymion, the prince of the Earth, and they both remember their past together. Soon, Zoicite attacks, but now that she has the Ginzuishou, Sailor Moon didn't even feel the attack and attacked him, causing him to run away.

Beryl then summons him and yells at him, getting ready to kill him for his great failure. Kunzite tries to take blame for Zoicite's faults, claiming he didn't teach him patience well, but Beryl refused to listen to him and fatally wounded Zoicite for it to be a warning for failure, then left. Kunzite then began to cry, but Zoicite comforted him, telling him that he just didn't listen, and acted on his own instead. With his last breath, he told Kunzite to never forget him.

Beryl then summoned Kunzite, giving him the task of training Endymion after his memory has been cleared of any past thoughts and giving him dark energy to be evil. Kunzite is less than thrilled with this task, but accepts it nonetheless. During battle with the senshi a few times, Tuxedo Kamen usually acts on his own rather than listening to Kunzite, sometimes causing the two to lose.

After they decide enough is enough, and come very close to healing Mamoru, the senshi begin to search for the Dark Kingdom's base. They go through a cave where they feel lots of negative energy, and eventually run into Kunzite, who puts them in a time warp thing. When the senshi get up, they see an image of Queen Serenity, who brings back all their memories of their past. Memories that include the good times of the Silver Millenium, and the invasion of the Dark Kingdom. They remember that when all seemed to be lost, the Queen used the Ginzuishou to seal the evil away for a long time, and gave Luna and Artemis the task of awaking the senshi if the Dark Kingdom was to ever return. Doing this cost the Queen her life, but she was willing to do it for the future of her daughter and the Moon Kingdom. The senshi then return to where they were before Kunzite attacked them into the time warp with the help of the Queen's power. Using the power of the Ginzuishou, Sailor Moon kills Kunzite. Soon, luna and Artemis appear, telling them they found the base, in the North Pole. They all returned home, to prepare themselves for the battle to finally come.

The next morning, the senshi gather and get ready to teleport to the base. Luna and Artemis apologize for not being able to come and wish them good luck. They teleport, and begin their way to the base. Beryl notices them coming, and summons the DD girls to take care of them. Through tricks and traps, the DD girls were able to kill all the senshi except Sailor Moon, for they were ordered to keep her alive. However, the DD girls lost their lives doing this as well, so they couldn't if they tried. Sailor Moon started crying because she had lost all of her friends, and then their ghosts appeared and comforted her. Feeling better, she went on to the base.

She was escorted on by Beryl's powers, where she taunted her, and then showed her Prince Endymion, who was now full of dark energy. Beryl ordered him to kill her. Sailor Moon refused to attack her lover, and tried to say whatever she could, and use her healing powers to heal him, which had no effect. She was telling him of the times they had together, nothing. She then throws her tiara with the little strength she has left. After a few seconds, he was healed from the dark energy and remembered everything. Beryl couldn't believe what had happened, and was just about to attack her, but Prince Endymion threw a rose right at her with the last of his strength to protect Sailor Moon, and it hit her in the heart. She started to beg for Metallia's great power, which she recieved and disappeared to somewhere close by, having great power.

Sailor Moon went to kiss Endymion, but paused, and said that since the others weren't able to kiss their loves before leaving, that she couldn't have that pleasure, and went on. As she walked towards Beryl, a huge chunk of ice comes at her. It suddenly becomes a mountain, and Princess Serenity appeared on top of it. Beryl focused all her energy and shot it towards her. Princess Serentity then tried to protect herself and over power her with the power of the Ginzuishou. However, it was only enough to protect her and not able to overpower it too much. She then prayed that her friends were with her, and they appeared by her side. They combined all their powers and were able to kill Beryl. As the Ginzuishou destroyed Beryl, she prayed with all her might that her and her friends could lead a normal teenage life, and they died.

The next morning was like any other morning is Usagi's life. She overslept and was running to school. Luna and Artemis talk about how great it was that the senshi were able to defeat the Dark Kingdom, but that now they couldn't remember a thing that happened. They decide that in time, they'll all meet again, naturally this time.
